Wadebridge is a vibrant and popular town with plenty to offer
Staying in Wadebridge means you have everything you need right on your doorstep and it will also provide you with the perfect base from which to explore North Cornwall easily, and other areas of Cornwall if you don't mind driving. The town itself is justifiably proud of the wide range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants it has to offer and we will happily make recommendations and reservations for you if required.
There is an independent cinema with 2 screens showing all the mainstream films as well as having a great film club where you can see a variety of art house or low budget films. You can also take advantage of the National Theatre Live programme to see live theatre and ballet streamed directly to the cinema.
The local pubs regularly have live music playing, so if you want a more lively night out you can go along to one of them and then wander up the hill later after a few drinks with no worries about who's driving or getting a taxi!
For quieter pursuits there are numerous lovely walks straight from the house, along the River Camel, through open fields or beautiful woods, especially lovely during bluebell season! The estuary is a bird enthusiasts heaven, particularly during migration seasons.
Molesworth Street is the main, pedestrianised shopping street with a nice relaxed atmosphere.
The Old Bridge links the two sides of the town avross the River Camel. The riverside paths offer a picturesque stroll through the town and along to the park or to the Camel Trail.
A short walk from the house brings you to Coronation Park with its spectacular views of the town and Bodmin Moor and lovely tranquil walk through the woods which are particularly beautiful when the bluebells are in flower.
The estuary is a fascinating landscape, changing not only with the seasons but with the daily tides. It attracts a huge variety of birdlife throughout the year along with many bird enthusiasts too!
